About Me

My photo
Hi everyone! My name is Noelle and I am a Special Education teacher (self-contained, grades 4, 5, and 6!) After graduating, I started teaching Kindergarten!!! I had only applied to sub when I was called in for an interview! The following school year I moved schools and changed grade levels. I absolutely love where I am now and what I am doing!

Liebster Award!

Wow, what an honor.  I have just started blogging and it's nice to know that fellow teacher have noticed and like my blog! Thanks so much ladies!  Both Dirt Road Teacher and Teach Two Reach have nominated me for a Liebster Award!

The guidelines are as follows:

#1- Link back to the blog that nominated me.
#2- Nominate 5-11 blogs with fewer than 200 followers.
#3- Answer the questions posted to me by my nominator.
#4- Share 11 random facts about me

My 11 Questions from Teach Two Reach:

1)  What's your favorite T.V. show?
I have a few.  Right now I'm into House of Cards, Dexter, and my absolute favorite Grey's Anatomy.
2)  What kind of student were you in school?
I was a good student in school.  Art was always my favorite class.
3)  What kind of child were you to your parents?
I was always a good kid, but got in trouble when I did something wrong.  I always tried to follow their directions and rules, but I tried to be tough around them.
4)  When you started your teaching journey, did you get the grade placement you wanted?
My first position was Kindergarten.  I thought it was everything I wanted.  The next year I was moved to a special education self contained room and found that it's definitely where I belong.  I feel that I now am in the placement I want.
5)  What is your usual weekend like?
My usual weekend involves many things.  We are busy throughout the week, so by the weekend I always make sure that there is some time for relaxation.  I work on school things, clean, and hangout with friends, family, and my love!
6)  What chores do you leave until you absolutely HAVE to do them?
I usually leave cleaning the floor until I have to, that and vacuuming.  I'm just not a fan!
7)  Do you see doing anything more with your education degree in a few years?
In a few years I would like to further my degree.  However, I'm not quite sure as to what yet.
8)  What is your favorite fruit, vegetable, and junk food item?
My favorite fruit would have to be watermelons or bananas.  My favorite vegetables are broccoli and cauliflower.  My favorite junk food is Reese's .. anything Reese's.
9)  If you could live anywhere in the world besides the country you live in now, where would it be and
why?
I would want to live in Italy.  I'd want to learn more about where my family is from and see all of the beautiful sights!
10) What’s your favorite animal?
Giraffes are my favorite animal!
11) What’s your biggest strength as a teacher? What would you like to work on?
My biggest strength as a teacher is passion.  I've always been a passionate person, teaching is something I'm definitely passionate about.  I'd like to improve or work on taking constructive criticism.  I'm a very emotional person and any type of criticism can be difficult for me.
